Upper Mustang is also known as last forbidden kingdom since it was listed in restricted for the foreigners until government announce the opening of the restricted areas in October 1991.
The kingdom of upper mustang is lying in between the Himalayas of Tibet and Nepal influence by the Tibetan culture. Lo-manthang village is tiny ruled by the King. The Kingdom of Upper Mustang preserves some of the last remnant of traditional Tibetan culture. Route of this region was for salt trade between Tibet and Nepal. You will watch the high desert region on this place.
Kaligandaki River flows from Tibetan border to south of Kagbeni is referred as Upper Mustang.
Discover the thousand years of old monastery, caves, local tribes and scenic beauties of the different landscapes. Lo-Manthang valley is geographically shape with tree less barren landscape, a steep rocky trail up and down hill and panoramic views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and several other peaks. The trekking trial passes through high peaks, passes, glaciers, and alpine valleys. The thousands years of isolation has kept the culture, lifestyle and heritage remain unchanged for centuries and to this date. The houses of Upper Mustang are mostly built by wood, stone and mud bricks. The four storey Palace in Lo-Mangthang and walls are some of the beautiful architectures of Mustang region. Tiji Festival is one of the main attractions of Mustang region which is influenced by Tibetan Buddhism culture during the end of dry winter and spring season. This festival gives you uniqueness of cultures and tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Lo-Manthang is the heart of Upper Mustang. The people of this region are called Managis have their own cultures and tradition and get to see the polyandry system in the last forbidden kingdom of Nepal.

  • Unforeseen Cost such as Flight Cancellation or Delayed, Sick in Trek, and Helicopter rescue in Trek, Cost due to bad weather etc. which is out of our control

  • Above cost is only applicable for this itinerary. If situation goes beyond our control like natural calamities, political disturbance etc. cost and itinerary may change according to situation through negotiation

  • 25% Advance payment of the total cost of booked itineraries directly transfer to our bank (clients have to pay extra bank charge – Please send us the deposition slip
  • Remaining amount you can pay after your arrival in Kathmandu either by cash or by your credit card (extra 4% will charge for credit card)
  • All the payment should be finalized before the trip.
