UPPER DOLPO TREK

Upper Dolpo lies behind the gigantic Mount. Dhaulagiri massif in a high altitude Himalaya of western Nepal. The original inhabitants of Dolpo region are mainly Tibetans. Therefore, this region is rich in ethnic Tibetan culture and arts. It is a land beyond the Himalayas where you will get to explore the mysterious monasteries, Musk deer, rare snow leopard and Himalayan Blue sheep. It is a region with rich cultures and tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and one of the remotest parts of Nepal. This trekking route passed many gigantic mountain ranges like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Kanjiroba. Upper Dolpo is a small kingdom of Tibetan origin people. Cultural diversity and eco bio-diversity can be found in this region and also maintain the eco trek destination as well. It is one of the remotest and least exposed areas of northern Nepal and also offers rare opportunities to explore many unseen parts of the region. It lies on the government restriction areas of Nepal and needs a special permit to explore this destination.

  • Upper Dolpo Special cost USD 500 per person and Lower Dolpo permit

  • National Park fee & Any required permits or Official Documentation

  • Food for trekking (Breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, coffee and drinking chocolate)

  • Trip crew medical supplies (first aid kit) and All camping site charges

  • Airfare Kathmandu – Kathmandu – Nepalgunj – Juphal-Kathmandu

  • Transportation Airport – Hotel – Airport

  • Camp/ dine fire/warm up charge where available

  • Treated drinking water to fill in your bottle

 

Cost doesn’t include:

  • International roundtrip Airfare

  • Nepal visa fee: US$ 40

  • Travel & Health Insurance- Emergency Helicopter Rescue Insurance (Most recommended).

  • Any meals (Lunch & Dinner) in Kathmandu and Pokhara – keep $ 15 to 20 per meal in Tourist Restaurant.

  • Any Alcoholic Drinks, Cold Drinks, Mineral Water, Beverages

  • Tips for guide, Cook, Sherpa and Porters Yak men and Donkey men ( mandatory)

  • Any Other Cost, which is not mentioned in Cost Includes Items as above

  • Sightseeing tours in Kathmandu can be arranged upon your request

  • Amount will not be refundable for any unused service.

  • Cost based on current rate of Hotel, Guide, Transport and entrance fees, etc.

  • Unforeseen cost such as flight cancellation or delayed, sickness and helicopter, Ambulance rescue, cost due to bad weather etc. that is out of our control

  • Above cost is only applicable for this itinerary. If situation goes beyond our control like natural calamities, political disturbance etc. cost and itinerary may change according to situation through negotiation

Booking and payment policy

  • Fill up our online booking form
  • Scanned passport copies (colored) along with your 4 photos
  • 25% Advance payment of the total cost of booked itineraries directly transfer to our bank (clients have to pay extra bank charge – Please send us the deposition slip
  • Remaining amount you can pay after your arrival in Kathmandu either by cash or by your credit card (extra 4% will charge for credit card)
  • All the payment should be finalized before the trip.
